The Opportunity
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer who is inquisitive, open to learning, self-motivated, and confident in turning ideas into clear, usable, and visually compelling interfaces. As the designer in the team, you will be responsible for delivering design that supports business goals while ensuring a seamless user experience. You should be creative, organized, and curious, comfortable asking questions and exploring solutions.
You will design resolution-agnostic low/mid/high fidelity mock-ups and prototypes in Figma, adapting depending on project needs and type of feedback required. You will ensure smooth handover to developers by preparing detailed specifications and design documentation. You will participate in workshops, share design proposals with clients, and help shape the design process within projects. The ideal candidate would be able to work with little direction and be able to address and mitigate risks.
What will you be doing
As part of cross-functional teams your responsibilities will be to:
- Create wireframes, mock-ups, clickable prototypes, and final UI screens with annotations and specifications.
- When appropriate, create user flows and user journeys, information architecture (e.g. navigation)
- Define user flows and journeys when required to guide design decisions.
- Develop, maintain, and update UI Kits and Component Libraries and contribute to Design Systems when appropriate.
- Ensure feasibility and consistency of designs across products.
- Validate developed features to confirm they align with design intent and user needs.
- Contribute to user research and usability testing when required, but focus on turning insights into actionable designs.
- When appropriate, carry out usability tests to validate concepts.
- Validate developed items to ensure they meet the users' needs
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a UI or UX Designer, with strong visual and interaction design skills.
- Education in a relevant field (informatics, HCI, Design, Technology) or work experience that can make up for lack thereof
- Experience working closely with developers to deliver production-ready interfaces.
- Strong visual design skills with a clear design language.
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Understanding of design processes in Agile environments.
- Good awareness of user research methods (but not necessarily deep expertise).
- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Portfolio demonstrating design quality, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
