Horizon Capital along with management invested in the Ascent Group in November 2019, with the following key objectives:

  • Accelerate the double-digit revenue growth through investment in a new go-to-market team and proposition
  • Develop longer-term contractual relationships with key customers
  • Completing a number of acquisitions to build scale, diversify the delivery centers, increase technical capabilities, and enter new geographic markets. Closed three acquisitions so far one in the UK, Portugal, and Germany

 

The Opportunity

To provide support to the business will billing and revenue accounting. This role will play a key role in the success of the new group and is a great opportunity to gain experience in a fast pace growing Private Equity backed Technology business.

- Billing

  • Oversee the monthly billing process for 150+ customers in the NetSuite ERP system for T&M, fixed price and annual contracts
  • Reconciling the deferred and accrued revenue accounts
  • Reviewing billing with project leads and operations managers
  • Monthly Revenue reporting
  • Project accounting
  • The managing project set with resourcing team to ensure correct billing and costs rates are assigned to the roles on the project
  • Ensure budgets are regained within the project when the project mix changes the mid-cycle
  • Oversee revenue recognition into P&L and reconcile project reports to the general ledger.
  • Working closely with the resourcing team on project setup
  • Handling ad-hoc queries from customers

- Other tasks

  • Support Group FC the annual audit process (revenue and billing)
  • Onboard new acquisitions in the Ascent project accounting and billing processes
  • Ensure that Ascent is leveraging best practices and core NetSuite functionality to speed up the close process and ensure robust controls are in place

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • AAT/ACCA/CIMA Qualified 5+ relevant experience
  • Experience of working in Technology Organisations
  • Experience work with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Fluent in English (Written and spoken)
  • Working within a Professional Services environment

About the role
We need someone to help us keep things in order in our HR department. We want to grow together over the long term. Above all, we need a person who would do the right thing, not necessarily someone who knows how to do things right.

 

Key responsibilities (with the appropriate onboarding in all these areas)

  • Support HR & Administration document flow –contracts, additional agreements, labor books, and other documents.
  • Be the primary contact and systems administrator for queries and access levels on our HR system (Bamboo HR)
  • Ensure the HR System accurately reflects current employee details and changes that arise
  • Processing documentation needed when employee changes occur
  • Respond to reference requests for current employees or ex-employees
  • Support the social benefits administration processes
  • Help prepare regular reports on HR-related matters.
  • Support the company procurement processes
  • Maintain constant communication with the Accountancy (external company) regarding payments, bank accounts, VAT declarations, and other employee-related matters
  • Help with the finance/accounting documents flow – organize contracts, handle invoices, etc.
  • Coordinate company lunches in the office and support the organization of company social events
  • Organizing the annual medical examinations for staff
  • Help manage the day-to-day office activities

 

What you will need

  • Smart, proactive, and analytical approach when dealing with day-to-day tasks
  • Proficiency with MS Office systems including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and TEAMS
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-functional team
  • Very good English - - both verbal and written
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Work from our premium office in Sofia
