About the Role

As a Senior Data Insurance Analyst, you will play a key role in transforming complex insurance data into meaningful insights that guide strategic decisions and improve business performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including underwriting, claims, finance, and product development—to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations. This role requires a blend of advanced analytical expertise, insurance industry knowledge, and strong communication skills to deliver insights that drive growth, efficiency, and risk management.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing data models, performing predictive and trend analyses, and ensuring data quality and integrity across multiple sources. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that enhance underwriting accuracy, claims efficiency, and customer experience.

This is a high-impact role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about leveraging data to shape the future of insurance.

For this role, you need to be based in London and available to go to the office twice a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate daily with business SMEs and senior data engineers to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
  • Identify and source the most reliable enterprise data to support reporting, analytics, and application consumption requirements.
  • Define data transformation and normalization logic prior to engineering and pipelining for source, medallion, and model target layers.
  • Partner with data engineers to design and co-define data models optimized for business consumption and analytical use cases.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner and Lead Data Engineer to shape and prioritize the engineering backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
