About the Role 

As a Data Engineer, you’ll get involved in a range of interesting and challenging projects on modern cloud data platforms. You will work closely with colleagues and customers to design and create pipelines that transform data in a scalable and repeatable way, producing efficient code that automates the process of ingesting, cleaning and optimising data for analytics, data science, visualization, integration, and other onward use cases. 

Your responsibilities  

• Develop a deep knowledge of business processes, technological environment, and data systems. 
• Create robust and scalable data solutions for production use within the business. 
• Establish new partnerships and contribute to the overall strategy of the data product. 
• Implement collaborative development practices from the start of the project, including shared code repositories and pipeline development. 
• Design and build scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to enable the development and deployment of models. 
• Design high-level data flow diagrams that outline user interactions with the data product from start to finish.  

Skills and qualifications 

• Minimum of three years of experience. 
• Proficiency with ETL tools and data integration methods. 
• Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, and SQL. 
• Experience in AWS, Databricks, DBT and Qlik. 
• Awareness of data security protocols and compliance standards. 
• Familiarity with data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud technologies. 
• Capability to design clear, efficient, and scalable solutions for complex challenges.
