QA and UAT Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous QA and UAT Engineer to join our team at Ascent?    
About the role

This role is crucial for ensuring the quality of the deliverables, including the creation of comprehensive documentation and training materials especially in the early stages of the Executor project where automated testing might not be fully established. You will have a strong background in statistical programming or biostatistics and will play a pivotal role in manual testing, user acceptance testing (UAT). You will be very familiar with R and have some metadata-driven automation experience, sounds like you? keep reading.  
In this role, you will be involved with: 
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): 

  • Conduct thorough UAT to validate that solutions meet business requirements and end-user needs. 

  • Develop, execute, and document test cases, scripts, and results. 

  • Identify and report defects, ensuring issues are addressed before product release. 

Quality Assurance (QA): 

  • Implement manual testing procedures for initial releases, ensuring high-quality deliverables. 

  • Collaborate with development teams to understand system functionalities and provide feedback on potential improvements. 

  • Create and maintain QA documentation, including test plans and test cases. 

Documentation & Training: 

  • Prepare clear, detailed documentation of testing processes, results, and product functionality. 

  • Develop user guides and training materials to support the adoption and effective use of the product. 

  • Provide training sessions and support to end-users as required. 

You will have:  

  • Applied knowledge of statistical programming or biostatistics. 

  • Proficiency in R; experience with SAS is a plus but not required. 

  • Proven experience in automation with R or other open-source data science languages, some knowledge of metadata-driven automation. 

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. 

  • Experience in creating and maintaining testing documentation and user guides. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Enthusiast for future-thinking technologies and automation trends. 

  • Experience in QA and UAT roles, with a focus on manual testing.Knowledge of Python is advantageous but not mandatory.
