About the role

You will help the Head of Data Science and BI run the function – this entails highly rewarding tasks and responsibilities. At the core of the role is engaging with our customers in a technical lead capacity in project delivery, internally you also own a subset of people management and pre-sales engagement collaborating with sales and marketing teams. You will have the opportunity to develop in other leadership aspects such as account management and proposition development. You will influence internal and external stakeholders on solutions, frameworks, and best practices.

What you’ll do
- Delivering Data Science solutions as a project technical lead
- Some hands-on coding tasks may be required
- Following delivery frameworks, including appropriate application of Agile
- Pre-sales and technical solutioning (working with sales and commercials)
- Project scoping and planning
- Ensuring solutions deliver business and value
- People management - career development and other BAU
- Account-level customer engagement
- Building internal capabilities
- Managing internal projects
Skills and experience required
- Proficient in both Python and R
- Machine learning
- MLOps / ML model lifecycle management
- ML in the cloud (Azure ML or AWS Sagemaker)
- CI/CD
- NLP
Experience and knowledge which are considered a bonus
- MSFT DP-100 certificate
- ETL, Synapse, ADF
- Spark, Databricks
