About the role

We are searching for a Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Engineer with a focus on internal tools. The Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Engineer is an all-rounder who works in a consultative way to identify, scope, and deliver. In this role, you will engage with our internal stakeholders to understand their business problems, design and deliver solutions predominantly built using Power Platform, Dynamics 365 and connect systems of communications by consuming APIs as published by 3rd party solutions used internally. 

You will enjoy working with data. You will work delivering across several projects, focusing on technical solutions, including software development, product backlog maintenance, releases, and engineering tasks. You will enjoy working in a collaborative way and be comfortable taking the lead in designing technical solutions. You will be motivated to ensure users and stakeholders are motivated to use the systems and can work efficiently.

This would suit a collaborative Engineer looking to evolve exposure to business solutions.

What you will be doing:

The main aim of the Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Consultant is to develop the right solution to the problem. 

You will undertake and actively participate in requirements-gathering exercises to understand how our tooling and solutions can solve their business problems. You will support the translation of requirements into backlog items and deliver against them transforming functional requirements into working software. You will work in a fast-paced, fast-growing environment where action and initiative are prerequisites to performing well. 

You will work as part of a small team to deliver, test and review so it is essential to have a good depth and wide coverage of technical expertise and excellent knowledge of the Power Platform. It is a bonus to have a good understanding of version control systems.


Technical skills and Experience

  • Good depth and wide coverage of technical expertise with Power Platform and D365. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to identify potential technical issues early on and reassess accordingly. 
  • Understand business requirements
  • Knowledge of databases and data structures
  • Good knowledge of editors, debuggers, and IDEs and adequate working knowledge of software design patterns
  • A pragmatic and results-orientated approach to the best technology fit, size and sequence of delivery is used to deliver the solution
  • Technical debt is kept to a minimum
  • Focus on identifying automation opportunities that can drive material productivity gain
