We are looking for a highly-motivated Information Quality Manager to join Ascent in our Sofia office!

 

About the role

The fundamental purpose of this position is to lead and provide ownership, definition, oversight, and management of the Quality function within Global IT. This includes the assurance that quality standards are consistently met, through the provision of technical and business acceptance processes and by ensuring that appropriate oversight and measurement are in place.

Meeting these objectives is achieved by the position holder and by deploying appropriate quality team resources at portfolio, program, and project team levels.

 

What you’ll do

  • Establishing, documenting, improving, and managing effective performance in the following areas are the priorities for this position.
  • Line management, direction, and support for the Team Lead, Quality & Release Manager, and the Team Lead, Quality Management Practice. Governance, direction & oversight of the definition & delivery of IT
  • Quality Management initiatives to ensure their completion within schedules and including the establishing, managing, and reporting on associated budgets.
  • Owning and championing quality policy, strategy, practice, and assurance for IT functions & services, aligned with other BDO Global IT policies, processes, standards,, and service levels.
  • Promoting best practices and protocols by developing, establishing, and enforcing quality standards and measures within a BDO Quality Management System comprising systems, tools, and documents.
  • Ensuring that IT Deliverables meet other BDO Global IT standards, including (but not limited to) Project Management, Product Development, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security.
  • Lead and direct the continual development, implementation, and improvement of the Quality Management Framework, quality policy, and strategy, management system, methodology, discipline, and framework.
  • Provide governance and quality assurance over all IT frameworks, methodologies, policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operate as a primary point of contact for the QA teams.
  • Responsible for the line management and leadership of the IT Quality team, including coaching & mentoring.
  • Participate in interviews, induction, training, and performance evaluation of all QA team resources.

 

Qualifications and Experience

The holder of this position should have the following qualifications and

experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Practitioner certification in software testing (ISEB and/or ISTQB).
  • Foundation knowledge of Project Management frameworks (PRINCE and/or ITIL).
  • 8+ years of experience delivering Information Technology Quality
  • Assurance Services in a complex, professional environment; able to demonstrate hands-on knowledge of all aspects of the IT Quality Assurance process.
  • 5+ years of experience in a management position, ideally with team management responsibilities in an IT environment.
  • In-depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant standards including ISO9001.
  • Track record in the creation and development of IT Quality Policies, Strategies, and Plans.
  • Experience in the development and deployment of quality management frameworks and systems.
  • Extensive experience with quality portfolio and program management best practices.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, packaging, testing, and deployment of software releases.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with fluent verbal and written English language communication.
  • Ability to manage, mitigate and resolve risks and issues, both operationally and tactically.
