Your impact

Joining us as Delivery Manager means that you’ll lead the relationship with a customer throughout an engagement. Yes, there is the standard stuff around project governance, RAID logs, milestones and the like, but you’re also the person providing that assurance and consistency to customers that we’re handling everything with the right momentum and transparency. You will be the point of contact for day-to-day questions and updates, and in the driving seat when it comes to representing the project status internally and at customer ceremonies.

We don’t just run projects though – some of our customers are going through a transformational change as part of their digital journey with us, and so building trusted and credible relationships with customers is a critical part of the job. Internally, you’ll provide direction and create alignment around the customer project. You know how to get involved in the right conversations, and you are the go-to person on your project on any topic.

Your expertise and know-how

We’re looking for people with:

  • Strong backgrounds in successful project delivery
  • Well-rounded experience across software development, digital transformation, and data projects of various sizes and complexity
  • Skills in using a range of delivery methodologies

Your skills won’t just be in ensuring projects are delivered well; you have the kind of sixth sense to sniff out potential risks and issues long before they ever appear, and you don’t wait for someone to tell you how to mitigate them.

We’re an Agile house by preference, but you will have the ability to flex and adapt approach when needed. You will have an authentic and credible communication style, relationship building will be second nature to you, and you’ll build trust and collaborate across silos with ease. We look for impactful people who can handle complexity or change without losing momentum, and we never tire of finding ways to improve what we do.

At Ascent, we choose hybrid working as a preference, where you can spend time at the office, visiting customers when needed, or working at home in a balance that suits you and how you work best. Your base salary will be relevant to your experience and expertise, but you can expect 25 days' holiday in addition to public holidays, a contributory pension plan, life assurance, and the other essential benefits.
