About the role
Technical Project Managers are pivotal to helping our customers do extraordinary things with software and data. We work in complex sectors where our depth of knowledge is important to our credibility, and Technical Project Managers have an important part to play in ensuring that our teams are properly enabled to do what’s needed to delight, and not just to deliver.
What you'll do
Joining us as Technical Project Manager means that you’ll lead the relationship with a customer throughout a project. You’re also the person who understands exactly how the solution we’re developing will work and can articulate complex technology ideas and concepts often to non-technical stakeholders.
You will be the point of contact for day-to-day activity, and project status and will delight customers with your ability to get things done effectively. As part of our Delivery team, you won’t just run projects, you will know who to get involved with and be the go-to person on your project on any topic.
Skills and Experience
We’re looking for people with:
- Strong backgrounds in successful technical project delivery in software development, digital transformation, and data
- A background in software development or data science or engineering where you’ve spent time as a technical or data professional
- Skills in applying a range of delivery methodologies to projects
Your ability to make abstract or complicated technical subjects easy to understand is fundamental. Time spent in roles where you’ve developed hands-on knowledge of the development lifecycle and core programming skills will be a strong foundation for success. Your skills won’t just be in ensuring projects are delivered well; you have the kind of sixth sense to sniff out potential risks and issues long before they ever appear, and you don’t wait for someone to tell you how to mitigate them.
We’re an Agile house by preference, but you will have the ability to flex and adapt your approach when needed. An authentic and credible communication style will come naturally to you, and you’ll be able to show examples of how you build trust and collaborate across silos with ease. We look for impactful people who can handle complexity or change without losing momentum, and we never tire of finding ways to improve what we do.

Your base salary will be relevant to your experience and expertise, but you can expect 25 days' holiday in addition to public holidays, a contributory pension plan, and the other essential benefits.
