What is it like to be part of Ascent?   Our internships are a fully immersive opportunity that allows you to live the experience as a junior software developer with one of our international teams.  It is an opportunity to practice what you have been learning in your University course in real life international projects as part of a multi cultural multi skilled software development team.   

We will help you to make mistakes as that is the most effective way to learn.  We do not hold your hand and will allow you to try to implement your best approaches to solving some real life problems.  When done our teams will help you understand why your solution looks good but its not optimised for the industry.   You will frustratingly rework on it to improve it thinking why wasn't I told this before.  Once done your system will be industry optimised but not scalable to real life use.  The team will tell you how an optimised solution can become scalable and you will again do your best with the knowledge that if we told you how to do it right immediately you would have just learn the 'HOW' but not the 'WHY'.   The 'WHY', is the most necessary tool to resolve some of the innovative challenging problems that we solve for our clients daily.  You will also learn that whilst at school you get an A when your score is over 85% in industry 85% equates to failure because our clients deserve nothing less than a 100% every time.  

This is a role that could lead to a full time role once you finish your studies.



You are a top student in your course and you are starving for a real life challenge.  You have a passion to solve problems and want to make an impact whilst learning how to make a client's problem, your own!    In everything you do you give your 100% and you consider your self as a high performing individual with a can do attitude.  You love to work in teams in a supportive and collaborative manner and have an open mind to learn and share your knowledge with others.

Our internships in the Sofia Offices are offered during the summer recess to Undergrads and Fresh Graduates residing in or around Sofia.  We are closely following the pandemic updates and depending on National Health Regulations we may need to limit our internships intake this year
