It’s another big day for us as we welcome Tekaris, a digital services business specialising in data-driven software projects, into the Ascent family. Tekaris is the 5th milestone acquisition in the Ascent story, opening up a new German market as we continue to invest in cutting-edge software, data and cloud engineering capabilities to help our customers build digital muscle.

About Tekaris.

Established in 2010, the business is still run by its original founders. Recently voted one of the best mid-sized businesses to work for in Germany by Focus Business magazine, the key to Tekaris’ success is their ability to build deep enduring relationships with longterm customers like Munich Re, who consider them critical partners.

Tekaris’ approach is highly specialised and aligned to three key verticals, helping customers in insurance, retail and health to design, implement and run ambitious cloud-first systems.

What does Tekaris do?

Tekaris’ blend of core software development, architecture, data engineering and business intelligence helps customers drive growth, become more secure and build digital maturity in the cloud. Their focus is on three core areas: Smart Applications, Data & Analytics and Digital Knowledge.

  • Smart Applications: Focussing on increasing efficiency by digitising processes, virtualising infrastructure, automating functions and developing new business models.

  • Data & Analytics: Consultancy around strategy, architecture design, management, governance and privacy. Secure, robust data infrastructure, integration and migration. Unlocking data value with BI, ML and Advanced Analytics.

  • Digital Knowledge: Enabling innovation and fostering a digital-first culture. Capability maturity modelling, Enterprise Architecture, requirements engineering and test automation.

At a technical level, Tekaris adds 65+ experienced engineers and consultants to Ascent’s practices, helping customers transform and build digital maturity in the cloud. The acquisition reenforces our core strategic alignment with Microsoft Azure, building on our engineering heritage and scaling our ability to create world class digital experiences and solutions for our customers.

We will continue to build out our footprint in Germany rapidly under the leadership of Konrad Pfeffer, Robert Rimmele and Josef Stegschuster, Tekaris founders and managing partners.
